Nepean Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Grade 1 to join our dedicated Gastroenterology Research Team, where your expertise will directly contribute to advancing patient care through evidence-based practice and clinical studies.
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Gastroenterology Research, you will provide advanced nursing leadership in the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of clinical trials and research projects related to gastrointestinal conditions. What you will bring to the role:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Minimum five years full time equivalent post registration experience in acute medical nursing and post graduate qualifications in Gastroenterology, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing/midwifery practice.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and knowledge of the practice development framework to clinical practice.
- Demonstrated recent experience and advanced knowledge in Clinical Trials management or experience as a study co-ordinator. Experience / understanding of HRCC and RGU submissions
- Demonstrated involvement in the development/change of clinical practice underpinned by evidence-based research
- Ability to apply clinical expertise in patient-centred consultancy, with the ability to work effectively both as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
