What you'll be doing

The Health Information Release Officer (HIR) will be responsible for managing and processing all Release of Information (ROI) requests. This role is vital to the Health Information & Records Service (HIRS) team, ensuring compliance and accuracy in handling sensitive health data.

In this role you will: 

  • Process all ROI requests in line with organisational policies.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of health information.
  • Work closely with the Health Information & Records Service (HIRS) team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Selection Criteria: 

  1. Understanding of patient confidentiality, Release of Information policies & knowledge of health record processes
  2. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time appropriately, prioritise workload and work under pressure
  3. Demonstrated enthusiastic work ethic and the ability to and work as part of a team
  4. Excellent computer skills across a variety of applications
  5. Demonstrated attention to detail
  6. Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  7. Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative
  8. Ability to work across multiple WSLHD facilities as required
