Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. An incredible opportunity is available for Registered Nurses to join the NICU team. Temporary Full time or Part time positions are available. This role is located at Nepean Hospital.
This role will see you ensure optimal outcomes for patients/clients and carers of the service through the promotion of best practice including the appropriate escalation of care, practice under the supervision of a Registered Midwife if required to work in maternity wards/units and to work collaboratively utilising effective team communication with members of the multidisciplinary health team in the planning, implementation, assessment, and evaluation of patient care.
At all times you will maintain and promote a professional standard evidenced by ethical nursing practice, adherence to the policies and procedures of the Nursing and Midwifery Service, NBMLHD and the appropriate legislation and statutory regulations and provide support and clinical preceptorship/mentoring to all staff and students.

What you will bring to the role:
- Current registration as Registered Nurse (Division 1) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in Neonatal Nursing and willingness to obtain Graduate Certificate in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
- Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide family centred care
- Demonstrated effective communication skills- written and verbal
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development
- Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening or night across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements.
