Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

 

Our brand new Emergency Department at Nepean Hospital is looking for Registered Nurses to join our community. Our positive and innovative environment will offer many opportunities and career pathways whilst being supported by an experienced and dedicated team consisting of a Nurse Manager, NUM's, Nurse Practitioners, CNC's, CNE, CNS's and RN's.

What you will bring to the role:

  1. Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  2. Recent experience working in an acute care setting as a registered nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse)
  3. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work in a busy fast paced environment
  4. Effective communication skills, verbal and written with demonstrated negotiation skills
  5. Able to perform effectively as a team member in a multidisciplinary team environment
  6. Ability to work 7 day rotating roster including morning evening & night shift
