Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Administration Officer provides effective and efficient frontline customer service to patients and clients attending clinics and to provide clerical support to clinical teams working in Medical/ Surgical Outpatient Departments.  What you will bring to the role:

  1. Demonstrated experience in a clinic setting including reception duties, phone enquiries, appointment scheduling and data entry.
  2. Demonstrated effective customer service skills
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  4. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare eligibility and billing practices.
  6. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  7. Demonstrated ability to learn new processes.
  8. Ability to be flexible and display initiative.
