What you'll be doing
In addition the Quality & Process Improvement Lead will work collaboratively with other staff within SCHN as required to ensure that we are providing the highest quality care and service possible. This includes supporting and embedding sustained practices to meet the requirements of Accreditation and NSW Health quality & safety service level agreements.
Although primarily based at Westmead or Randwick, the position will be required to travel across the sites occasionally.
- Tertiary qualifications in a health care discipline and/or equivalent experience within a healthcare setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement methodology and to lead multidisciplinary project teams to ensure that improvements made are evaluated, sustained and ethical considerations mitigated.
- Demonstrated knowledge of facilitating group training/education sessions and/or a wiliness to learn.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the NSQHS Standards (Edition 2) and facilitation of accreditation across an organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, document and demonstrate compliance to external standards, including conducting audits, report writing and taking action to help improve these results. While assisting staff to interpret results and prioritise improvements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hospital acquired complications and their impact on healthcare settings.
- Excellent computer skills with how to use Microsoft Office programs and an ability to quickly acquire proficient skills in new software as required.
