What you'll be doing
-Provides expert guidance and advice to pharmacists and other healthcare professional providing clinical services in the Intensive Care Unit.
-Supports education and training of clinical pharmacists working in the Intensive Care Unit to facilitate 7 day per week service delivery.
-Participate in clinical pharmacy services provision including the general roster as required, including participating in weekend, public holiday, and on-call rosters.
-Participating in relevant research projects and presenting at professional conferences & publication in relevant journals.
-Collaboration with Intensive Care Unit in the ongoing management of critical care patients at RNSH.
-Supports clinical pharmacy service provision for patients stepped down to inpatient wards from ICU.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Must hold registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge in the provision of Pharmacy services to consumers, carers and families requiring medication reconciliation, dispensing and dosing.
- Proven ability to work independently and to establish effective collaborative working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and interagency networks.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of advanced clinical pharmacy services including advanced level practice in Critical Care in a hospital setting.
