Nepean Hospital has on offer a Permanent Full time or Part time role for a Registered Midwife who is committed to delivering safe, compassionate, and evidence-based maternity care. Our Birth Unit is staffed by a team of dedicated professionals who value teamwork, respect, and excellence in clinical care.
Your role as the Registered Midwife will support women throughout labour, birth, and the immediate postnatal period, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and woman-centered care. This position will see you ensure optimal outcomes for women and their families of the service through the promotion of best practice including the appropriate escalation of care.

What you will bring to the role:
- Current registration with AHPRA Registered Midwife (division 1)
- Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in midwifery, including completion of a new graduate year or equivalent experience in Midwifery
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
- Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide woman centred care
- Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development
- Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment
