Where you'll be working
You'll be joining the Medical Oncology Clinical Trials Unit (MOCTU) at Westmead Hospital, part of the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). One of the largest and most diverse health districts in NSW. WSLHD provides care to communities across Auburn, Blacktown, The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta, and supports the wider Greater Western Sydney region with specialised tertiary services.

MOCTU is a well-established, supportive team leading more than 70 oncology clinical trials. As our new Ethics and Regulatory Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in helping advance cancer research that makes a real difference to patients across the region.

What you'll be doing 
Take the lead in coordinating ethics and regulatory submissions for over 70 clinical trials. This role ensures compliance and supports impactful cancer research within a collaborative team.

  • Manage HREC and RGO submissions
  • Ensure timely reporting of safety events
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain regulatory records and databases
  • Support trial start-up and ongoing compliance

  1. Proven experience and/or knowledge of HREC and RGO processes and requirements in clinical trials.
  2. Working knowledge and/or experience of the REGIS system.
  3. Knowledge of budgets and contracts for clinical trials.
  4. Familiarity with Medicines Australia clinical trial agreements.
  5. Experience in all Microsoft Office Suite programs and working knowledge of databases.
  6. High levels of organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands/workloads.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  8. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
