Remuneration: $56.68 - $58.52 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

What you'll be doing
This is a temporary full-time position within our department working as the Senior Occupational Therapist in the Transitional Aged Care Program (TACP) community team. This position will be responsible for a clinical caseload as well as supervising level 1/2 Occupational Therapists within the team. We are seeking strong leadership in this space and there are various other roles and responsibilities you will have as a Senior clinician in our department.
TACP is a program designed to support the reablement of older adults in the community following their discharge from hospital. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team, using your clinical reasoning to set meaningful goals, develop treatment plans, and manage discharge planning to ensure holistic care for TACP clients and their families. You will need to apply strong clinical reasoning across a wide range of clinical areas, alongside excellent communication and problem-solving skills, in aim to improve the functional outcomes for older adults.

Essential Criteria: 

• Registration: AHPRA registration as Occupational Therapist
• Qualification: Degree or Diploma recognised by AAOT-NSW

Selection Criteria:

• Significant clinical experience in Occupational Therapy in an acute or community aged care setting with the ability to exercise independent professional judgment.
• Ability to work independently with distant supervision and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stake holders throughout all organisational levels.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated effective time management and organisational skills including ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Demonstrated experience in providing clinical supervision to occupational therapists and students.
• Ability to initiate, lead, complete and implement quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
