What you'll be doing
The Clinical Support Officer (CSO) is a ward/unit based role to support the work activities of nurses, medical staff and allied health staff, providing timely and accurate administrative/transactional services for members of the health care team under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager (N/MUM). The CSO works closely with existing administrative staff at the ward/unit level.
The CSO works under broad supervision but will requires to also work autonomously as required.  Scope exists for exercising initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients.
  2. Demonstrated high level computer skills, including Microsoft and Window based applications, emails systems and other patient information systems like iPMS and Cerner.
  3. Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail.
  4. Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative.
