What you'll be doing


The NSW Health Education Centre Against Violence (ECAV) is a statewide unit auspiced by Western Sydney Local Health District. ECAV is responsible for multi-sectorial learning, capacity building and workforce development, community development and supervision, in the specialist areas of prevention and response to violence, abuse and neglect (PARVAN).
ECAV is a partner in an NSW Health funded Safety and Support for Children Experiencing Violence, Abuse and Neglect Program. This program aims to build capacity of NSW Health services to respond to children experiencing violence abuse and neglect.
 
This position is responsible for development, implementation and coordination of the Safety and Support for Children program in partnership with Program’s Staff Specialist and lead hospitals. This project management role requires the development and maintenance of strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders to ensure optimal delivery of this time-limited Program.

Selection Criteria

  1. Understanding of Violence Abuse and Neglect in a Health context.
  2. Demonstrated skill and experience in effective project management, including ability to develop solutions to complex problems, design and implement effective projects which achieve intended outcomes, within budget and time frame.
  3. Highly developed skills in prioritisation, organisation, complex problem solving, time management and completing tasks to deadlines.
  4. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to cultural safety and culturally responsive practice.
  5. High-level stakeholder management skills with excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a range of diverse stakeholders
  6. Demonstrated capacity to work independently with minimum supervision and to work effectively in a team.
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with demonstrated ability to learn new record management systems and/or platforms (eg. Office 365, HPE).
  8. Willingness to travel within NSW and has a current driver’s license valid in NSW
