Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
The Project Officer is responsible for leading the implementation of identified projects across the Paediatrics Clinical Networks. They will provide a wide range of project support, change management and lead collaboration between clinical and business units in WSLHD. The Project Officer supports the Clinical Network Director and Clinical Network Manager to deliver projects that address the Clinical Networks core objectives of:

  • Identifying and leading the development of effective clinical strategies which deliver appropriate, safe, and high‐quality patient care.
  • Identifying service gaps, reviewing the appropriateness of existing service models and leading configuration/ redesign of services to ensure clinical best practice
  • Improving quality of care and patient safety by leading, and supporting quality improvement initiatives
  • Workforce planning, ensuring the right clinical teams in the right place at the right time

Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications in project management or planning, and/or related experience
  2. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously, and deliver outcomes to agreed deadlines
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of Redesign and Improvement methodologies and their practical application
  4. Demonstrated well‐developed and effective interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to produce high quality documents and correspondence with strong attention‐to‐detail, accuracy and in a timely manner.
  5. Demonstrated ability to engage and consult with relevant stakeholders
  6. Proficient skills with Microsoft Office applications.
  7. Current Drivers licence valid within Australia and ability to travel as required by position across LHD
