About the Opportunity
Join SWSLHD as a Clinical Support Officer for the Campbelltown Intensive Care and be an essential part of our healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with other administrative staff, nursing teams, and medical professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the unit.

Responsibilities include managing rosters, data entry, stock coordination, and providing high-level administrative support to the Nurse Manager and clinical staff. What You'll Be Doing

The CSO will provide timely and accurate administrative and transactional services for members of the health care team to support the provision of clinical services under the direction of the nursing/midwifery unit manager.  The CSO will work under broad supervision but will be required to take some application of established work practices and procedures. Decisions affecting the overall functioning and management of the ward/unit remain the responsibility of the N/MUM.

How to Apply

  1. Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent.
  2. Proven ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency, including data entry, filing.
  3. Experience providing secretariat support for meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes, scheduling, room booking, and ensuring all logistical arrangements are completed in a timely manner.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage data entry for staff rosters and reporting, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in using relevant computer systems and databases to coordinate staff shifts, identify and replace unplanned leave, and address roster deficits efficiently to support service continuity.
  5. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the capacity to provide accurate and timely information and advice to Nurse Manager and/or nursing team leader. Ability to flag and escalate issues that may affect completion of administrative tasks or service delivery.
