Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Visiting Medical Officer to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital

  

We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The primary purpose of the role of Visiting Medical Officer in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department and Hospital as required.

  

The Visiting Medical Officer will have Post fellowship training at a high volume microsurgery centre, including instruction in advanced reconstructive techniques with exposure to a diverse range of complex cases.

  

The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.

   

The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), with recognised specialist qualifications in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and/or other equivalent specialist recognition. 

  

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
