About the Opportunity

The Immunisation Nurse (Registered Nurse) will be responsible for managing enquiries on immunisation matters from GP's, other clinicians and members of the public, regarding varied immunisation topics. This role also involves and is not limited to, the auditing of vaccination providers, managing cold chain breaches, assessing yellow fever applications and arranging outreach clinics.

    

The immunisation nurse will also be required to assist in the delivery of the Local Health District's immunisation service, which includes management of the NSW Adolescent School based Vaccination Program. You will also be responsible for administration of vaccinations such as influenza and others as required by Sydney Local Health District.

Ideal Candidate

  • Current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation (AHPRA).
  • Recent experience working as a Registered Nurse in a hospital, community and/or public health setting.
  • Experience and certification as an authorised nurse immuniser.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
