About the Role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
  
The Dietitian Assistant acts as liaison between the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Nursing Staff in the ward and the Food Services Department. With the guidance of the Dietitian, the Dietitian Assistant assists in maintaining a high standard of nutritional care for inpatients.

Ideal Candidate
  • Cert III or IV in Dietitian Assistant, Dietary Practices or Home Economics Certificate or equivalent, or demonstrated substantial experience in a similar position.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of CBORD.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with patients.
  • Understanding of food habits and eating patterns in the community.
