Administration Officer - Allied Health SGH - Temp PT up to Feb 2026, St George Hospital , Kogarah

Where you will be working 

This position is based within the Allied Health Departments of St George Hospital. 
St George Hospital is currently undergoing Stage 3 of its redevelopment, preparing to open a new Kensington Street Building (KSB) in early 2026. This building will bring together a range of day only, ambulatory and outpatient services that are currently being delivered from a number of locations around the hospital campus. This will improve accessibility for patients and their carers; particularly for those less mobile or who have chronic health conditions. Allied Health staff and outpatient clinics will operate out of the KSB from 2026.

This role provides a range of administrative and clerical support services to enable the Allied Health Departments of St George Hospital to achieve their objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.

  1. Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks in a demanding work environment
  2. Experience in responding to a range of enquiries and determining the appropriate response
  3. Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  4. Ability to improve to contribute to improvements in administrative practices and procedures
  5. Ability to use computer hardware, software applications and electronic systems including proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and the ability to be trained in other systems relevant to the role.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work independently in performing routine administrative tasks and ability to work as part of team.
  7. Ability to demonstrate effective organisational and time management skills including ability to prioritise workload.
  8. Ability to demonstrate efficient and effective stock management and ordering skills.
