Where you'll be working:
Population and Community Health (PaCH) is part of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
PaCH provides community health services that give care to individuals, families and carers, as well as population health services that focus on the whole community or key groups within the community.
PaCH's services are provided at the District's hospitals, community-based facilities including child and family health centres, community health centres and specialist clinics. We work with other service providers across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, including hospitals and mental health services.

The Role:
This role is responsible for providing support services for the implementation of the New South Wales (NSW) arm of the national randomised control trial of chemoprophylaxis, known as ISAAC – Invasive Steptococcus A: Antibiotic prophylaxis for Contact management.
The Trial Study Coordinator will implement the ISAAC trial, a national investigator-initiated clinical trial in NSW.
This role will involve managing key aspects of the trial, including participant recruitment, consent, screening, data collection, and follow-up through to study completion.
A primary responsibility of the position will be the enrolment of potential participants for an immediate start of the protocol procedures.
The Trial Study Coordinator will also assist in preparing ethics and governance submissions and performing data collection throughout the trial.
In addition, the Trial Study Coordinator will manage and oversee the ISAAC trial to ensure its effective operation at site level, under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in public health, science, health or relevant equivalent work experience in clinical trials or public health, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and appreciation of the processes of clinical trial research, ethics and privacy laws.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in performing a range of tasks within allocated timeframe.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with key stakeholders, including ability to conduct consent process with study participants and collaborate with participants and their families.
- Demonstrated high level written skills, including ability to prepare reports with a high level of attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in data and database management, data collection, electronic data capture, data entry and maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt work practices to meet current and emerging business needs.
