Remuneration: 70049.73 - 98351.39 full time equivalent base salary range (excludes super, leave loading and salary packaging)

We are a tertiary referral Paediatric hospital managing over 40,000 children each year where the Critical Care Registered Nurse works within a multi-disciplinary team as part of the SCHN and service. The Paediatric Nurse strives to maintain, improve and promote the optimal health and wellbeing of children and their families within the SCHN community. Sound clinical judgement and effective communication skills are utilised in caring for children and their families. The Paediatric Registered Nurse is considerate to individual and cultural values, and endeavours to empower families through a sensitive and flexible approach to service delivery. If you possess twelve (12) months recent acute paediatric critical care experience within the paediatric emergency department and / or paediatric intensive care unit and would like flexibility in your work patterns then this is the position for you. You will generally be required to work casual hours in accordance with operational requirements. It may be necessary to change the hours of work and any shift times from time to time as required by the demands of the position.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Are you a Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)? Please provide your registration number.
- Summarise your minimum of 12 months recent Paediatric Critical Care experience within the Paediatric Emergency Department and / or Paediatric Intensive Care Unit including clinical knowledge and experience as well as your ability to problem solve within the Paediatric critical care environment.
