We are a tertiary referral Paediatric hospital managing over 40,000 children each year where the Registered Nurse works within a multi-disciplinary team as part of the SCHN and service. The Paediatric Nurse strives to maintain, improve and promote the optimal health and wellbeing of children and their families within the SCHN community. Sound clinical judgement and effective communication skills are utilised in caring for children and their families. What you'll be doing
The Registered Nurse works within a multi-disciplinary team as part of the SCHN and service.  As a Registered Nurse you will provides safe, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families of the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, acting as a role model by demonstrating behaviour and interacting with patients, their families and employees in a way that promotes a culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.  

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  2. Are you a Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)? Please provide your registration number.
  3. Summarise your current Paediatric clinical knowledge and experience including your ability to problem solve within the Paediatric clinical environment.

 All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
