An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Clinical Support Officer (CSO Level 3) to join the Ambulatory Services team at the Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick.
Ambulatory Services includes Medical Day Unit, Hospital in the Home (HITH), Kids Guided Personalised Services (Kids GPS) and the Acute Review Clinic (ARC). Together we provide specialist care to a variety of patients including those with chronic conditions and children that are acutely unwell. The Clinical Support Officer (CSO) role provides clerical and administrative support to the Ambulatory team under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager (NM). They will be required to work as part of the team and also have the ability to work autonomously.

What you'll be doing
The CSO will provide timely and accurate administrative / transactional services for members of the health care team on designated ward(s) / department(s) under the direction of a NUM/Head of department. The CSO will work under broad supervision but will be required to take some independent action. Scope exists for exercising initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures. Decisions affecting the overall functioning and management of the ward / departments remain the responsibility of the NUM/Department Head.  
  1. Administrative experience working in Health or equivalent
  2. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels
  3. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  4. Demonstrated experience in word processing, excel, iPM and eMR
  5. Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of the team in a high pressure, high volume work environment

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
