What you'll be doing
The Kids Cancer Centre (KCC) is one of the largest centres in Australia that researchers and treats childhood cancer under one roof. We are a large multi-disciplinary department within Sydney Children’s Hospital with one goal – to find a cure for every child living with cancer in Australia.
The KCC Administration Officer is responsible for providing key administrative support for the department, ensuring excellent customer service and high quality administration is provided to support a timely and effective clinical service and a positive experience for patients, families and stakeholders internal and external to the KCC.

Please note that throughout the recruitment process you will be assessed with the following:

  1. Proven excellence in providing customer service, preferably in a busy/demanding environment.
  2. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise a busy workload, remain calm and productive under pressure.
  3. Demonstrated evidence of excellent written and verbal communication, including good grammar and spelling.
  4. Demonstrated ability to be proactive and take initiative.
  5. Track record of working well within a team.
  6. Ability to deal confidently and courteously with people who may be distressed, people from diverse backgrounds and health care staff from different positions and levels.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.​

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
