Where you’ll be working


Hornsby Ku-ring-Kai Hospital, Ward 4C is a general medical ward with a separate specialised dementia and delirium unit with both units having a combined capacity to cater for up to 26 patients. As a Registered Nurse on 4C you are required to work in both the medical and dementia and delirium unit with a rotating roster including weekends and night shifts.

What you’ll be doing
As a Registered Nurse, you will be coordinating and delivering high quality nursing care to adult medical patients and working closely with an extensive multidisciplinary team including Aged Care CNC and Diversional Therapist. Successful applicants will be encouraged to engage in ongoing supported learning and professional development pathways.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
  4. A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
  5. Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  6. An understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the Registered Nurse.
