Registered Nurse Ambulatory Care Centre
Are you interested in working in the outpatient setting? The Ambulatory Care Centre at Royal North Shore Hospital is seeking a suitably experienced Registered Nurse to join their team. There are temporary part time positions available.

Where you'll be working
The Ambulatory Care Centre services Non-Admitted Patients (Outpatients) and a limited number of inpatients, averaging 600 patient presentations per day. The Centre provides specialist consultation; minor procedures and post-operative follow up. Patients are referred from their GP's, Private Specialists as well as NSLHD Facilities and Emergency Departments. Many patients avoid hospital admission or reduce inpatient length of stay by being seen in the ACC clinics. The ACC is structured with clinics and specialised areas including IHU (Integrated Hand Unit), Photo Therapy, MDPU (Medical Day Procedure Unit). Allied health services include Physiotherapy, X Ray, Occupational Therapy Speech Pathology, Audiology, Pathology and Podiatry.
What you'll be doing
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated post graduate experience in an acute care setting with an interest and or experience within the area of ambulatory care.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
