Selection Criteria

1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine or Royal Australasian College for Surgeons or Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists or College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia.
2. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them
3. Currently active in trauma care
4. Appropriate experience to practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner in Trauma Care
5. Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a multidisciplinary team environment
6. Ability to manage complex critically injured trauma patients within the scope of their training, to a high level
7. Demonstrated high level of non-technical skills relevant to managing complex, critically injured major trauma patients
8. Involvement in education and training of trauma skills, including EMST, DSTC, or other relevant trauma courses
