Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist and/or overseas trained substantial specialist pathways. Applicants expecting to be awarded their FRANZCP within 6 months may be considered.
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them
- Appropriate experience to practice as Senior Medical practitioner in psychiatry together with a demonstrated interest and experience in acute inpatient service.
- The capacity for involvement in education, training, supervision and liaison in Emergency Psychiatry across a variety of professional disciplines and settings.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication skills and the ability to work within a team
- Demonstrated ability to work with staff from a variety of professional disciplines
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and research
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical governance processes
