Where you'll be working


Ward 6B is a 30 bed Cardiothoracic/Cardiology Ward in the Acute Services Building of RNSH. Professional development opportunities and post graduate studies and encouraged and supported.

What you'll be doing

The purpose of this role is to provide safe and effective nursing care to patients using an individualised holistic approach related to the goals of care determined by the Primary Nurse (Registered Nurse) and within professional role limits and Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice. In the delivery of nursing care the Enrolled Nurse will work under both the direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse.    

The Enrolled Nurse will consult with the registered nurse to ensure delegation is commensurate with own level of competence and within Local Health District (LHD) and Service policy, particularly in relation to the administration of medications.

 

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

 

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: 

  1. Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
  2. Provide evidence of current experience in an acute hospital environment, including examples of current clinical knowledge and critical thinking.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  4. Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
