Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Mental Health Service Care Co-ordination Team (formerly WRS), based at Hornsby Hospital

What you'll be doing

The purpose of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position is to provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service. The CNS employs advanced clinical skills and exercises extended autonomy of decision making working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

 

  1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Nurse Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience such as in community mental health or equivalent.
  2. Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively with consumers to identify and work towards meeting their physical health care goals from a recovery oriented practice framework.
  3. Experience working collaboratively and in partnership with key stakeholders including knowledge of community supports.
