This position on offer relates to the Paediatric Developmental / NICU Assessment Clinic located at Nepean Hospital. 

Within the Paediatric Developmental Assessment Clinic, the Neuropsychologist / Clinical Psychologist position is to function both independently and as part of the team undertaking developmental and diagnostic assessments of children and adolescents attending the clinic. This role will cover the NICU Developmental Follow up Clinic and the Neuropsychologist / Clinical Psychologist position is to function both independently and as part of the team undertaking developmental assessments of children and adolescents attending these clinics.  

This position on offer will see you will provide guidance and support though the NICU Bush Babies program and in addition, this position also has the purpose of providing supervision to psychology students and registrars and to participate in educational and research activities associated with the clinics.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Accredited Masters or Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or clinical neuropsychology.
  2. General Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology or working towards endorsement.
  3. Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Demonstrated experience in the administration and interpretation of psychometric and behavioural assessments for children specifically Bayleys 4 and Griffiths III (or with a clear plan to train in these within the first 3 months of employment) and are familiar and experienced in standardised cognitive and academic testing.
  5. Demonstrated experience in the administration and interpretation of the ADOS 2 or a clear plan to train in this tool within the first 3 months of employment.
  6. A minimum of one year experience of working with children who have developmental needs and their families.
  7. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Demonstrated computer literacy skills.
