About this role
The Director, Finance leads the financial direction of the LHD, managing budget resources and financial services to support organisational performance. With delegated authority, the role ensures budget and liquidity targets align with the NSW Health Performance Framework. Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Director provides strategic advice, oversees financial controls, and drives sound financial decision-making across the LHD.
This is an ongoing, full time, Band 1, Health Service senior executive (HSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $252,839 to $276,942 per annum (SOORT 2024), with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
The successful candidate will have a proven expertise in budget management, financial policy development, and strategic financial advisory at the executive level, who will play a pivotal role in guiding the organisation’s financial sustainability. This role requires skills in developing and negotiating funding models, pricing strategies, and economic appraisals will directly contribute to delivering high-quality, equitable health services in a complex healthcare setting.
