Join the dynamic healthcare team at Port Macquarie Base Hospital with a temporary contract position as a VMO Anaesthetist. Your expertise will shape exceptional patient experiences on the picturesque Mid North Coast.
What you'll be doing
As a Specialist Anaesthetist, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, comprehensive care. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes, and your leadership will extend beyond the theatre. We value your commitment to supporting and training clinicians across disciplines, helping to foster safe, informed, and collaborative clinical practice.
This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Anaesthetist, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Anaesthesia at the role delineation of the service
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
