The Opportunity 

Opportunity for clinicians who are passionate about supporting survivors of sexual violence and advocates for trauma-informed care. Sexual Assault Counsellors with NSW Health, play a crucial role in providing compassionate, evidence-based intervention to children, young people and adults impacted by sexual assault and help them navigate their recovery journey. 

About you

Do you have a Bachelor of Social Work (or qualification deemed equivalent) or eligibility for membership with the AASW?  Are you registered as a psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)?  Do you have demonstrated high level of clinical expertise in counselling skills in working with child, adolescent and adult victims of violence?  Do you work from a feminist perspective?  Do you have a sound understanding of trauma informed/violence informed frameworks?  If so, we want to hear from you!

The Organisation

The Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) is a government funded health organization that covers an area of 11,335 square kilometres extending from Port Macquarie in the south to Coffs Harbour in the north.  MNCLHD provides a diverse range of services to a population of approximately 215,000 people.  It has a workforce of 4,694 across seven hospitals sites and 12 Community Health Centres.
