WRS Clinical Psychologist/ HKMHS Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Gold Card Clinic Coordinator
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist with training and experience in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to coordinate & run our DBT program and Gold Card Clinic (GCC) (Brief Intervention program for people experiencing suicidal ideation).

Where you'll be working
Wahroonga Rehabilitation Services, part of the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Community Mental Health Services. Located at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.
What you'll be doing
The Clinical Psychologist will coordinate the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) program, and Gold Card Clinic (Brief Intervention program) for Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Mental Health Service (HKMHS), delivering comprehensive assessments and treatment to consumers, and coordinate and implement both group and individual interventions, including care coordination.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Full AHPRA registration as a psychologist with a master’s degree or higher in clinical psychology, clinical neuropsychology or relevant clinical area in psychology AND post graduate experience in acute mental health and/or inpatient psychiatric settings.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills in the use of therapies including DBT, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Insight Oriented Psychotherapy including training and experience in the provision of a comprehensive DBT program - both groups and individual sessions.
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication to suit the target audience and negotiation and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved consumer care and outcomes.
- A Current NSW drivers licence.
