What you'll be doing
The Work Health & Safety (WHS) Coordinator ensures a consistent, proactive approach to WHS management across WSLHD, promoting a safe and compliant workplace for all. In this role you will:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate WHS initiatives.
- Provide expert advice and support to facilities and services.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and policies.
- Engage stakeholders in consultation and risk management.
- Focuse on incident prevention and workplace safety improvement.

- Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in applying the principles of the WHS Act and Regulations 2017
- Appropriate qualifications and / or extensive proven experience in WHS Management at a high level in a large service organisation
- Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of health and safety strategies and initiatives
- Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to: work effectively at all levels of the organization; influence and drive outcomes, through persuasion and the ability to gain respect and creditability with management and employees
- Demonstrated effective decision making skills using strategic thinking for positive outcomes in WHS
- Demonstrated experience in conducting training sessions for large and small groups.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Current Drivers License valid within Australia
