What you'll be doing
Provide contemporary comprehensive specialist interventional and non-interventional cardiology services for optimal patient outcomes and provide support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.
To participate in the development of Cardiology services to patients of Port Macquarie Base Hospital and Hastings Macleay Clinical Network catchment, in support of the Clinical Services Plan for the Clinical Network.
To support and help facilitate a culture of compassion, openness, respect, empowerment, empathy, learning, teaching and best practice, consistent with the NSW Health CORE Values
This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

- Eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Completed requirements for admission to FRACP with cardiology subspecialty training.
- Completed requirements for interventional cardiology training, with local and/or overseas interventional fellowships.
- Maintenance of minimum annual PCI volumes as set out by CSANZ guidelines, including experience performing complex PCI with contemporary calcium modification techniques.
- Ability to participate in on call STEMI service for primary and rescue PCI, including commitment to equitable participation in general cardiology on call roster.
- Ability to work as part of a Multidisciplinary team to manage complex coronary and structural heart disease, including experience integrating cardiology services within a large clinical network.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and continued education.
- Desire and willingness to work within a regional centre.
