About the role:
Our Switchboard Operators are responsible for the efficient and effective provision of switchboard services to all incoming calls to the John Hunter Hospital. The Switchboard is a 24 hour per day, 7 days per week service that manages thousands of calls daily from internal and external stakeholders. The Switchboard staff are the front line of the hospital, helping our community get the information they require in a timely and professional manner. If you have strong customer service, time management, organisational skills and can commit to working a 24 hour shift roster, apply today.


About you:
The successful candidates will be reliable with excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will have computer knowledge, retain information well, happy to work shift work as we are a 24/7 service you will be expected to work days, afternoons, nights, weekends and public holidays when needed, great phone manner and a background in customer service. The position also requires you to have a flexible attitude and the capacity to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff at all levels of the organisation
