- Relevant post-graduate qualifications and/or experience in management, health administration, research, education or related discipline or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a service to improve health outcomes for patients within the Australian Health Care system, contributing to the effectiveness of an organisation within tight budgetary controls.
- Experience in developing partnerships and demonstrated leadership working with a range of multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strong project management skills and ability to solve complex problems, prioritise work and meet deadlines and targets to achieve desired outcomes.
- Highly developed and effective management skills and demonstrated experience with senior level human resource, financial and communication management.
- Experience with surgical services, models of care, training requirements and organisational structures at a tertiary level health facility.
- High level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work cooperatively within a team environment; and highly developed and effective negotiation and delegation skills.
