To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Demonstrated senior nursing/health care experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in a relevant setting.
  2. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership as a resource person and role model through the development of professional relationships.
  3. Demonstrated ability to identify the need for, initiate, evaluate and adjust the development of procedures and guidelines
  4. Demonstrated ability to utilise a broad range of communication, delegation and negotiation skills in a variety of settings, ensuring that you are able to effectively represent the District, and collaborate with staff and other health professionals for the best outcomes of the service.
  5. Demonstrated ability to monitor performance in areas of for both individuals and teams. This includes the ability to undertake a range of performance management activities.
  6. Demonstrated ability to develop an operational plan for the service and coordinate the process of organisational change. This may include the ability to develop staffing profiles appropriate to meet service needs and within budgetary parameters, risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
  7. Demonstrated expertise in surgical waitlist management and patient admission systems
  8. Demonstrated ability to assess and manage surgical waitlists in line with the NSW Health Waiting Time and Elective Surgery Policy Directive
