About Where You Will Be Working
The Mater Mental Health Centre in Waratah is part of the Calvary Mater Newcastle campus, providing vital mental health services to the Newcastle and Hunter regions. You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team, helping to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes to make a real difference in people’s lives.
As a Store person, at the Mater Mental Health Centre, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods across the hospital site. Your responsibilities include receiving, storing, and delivering stock efficiently while adhering to Materials Management policies and legislative requirements. You'll support our clinicians, staff, and patients by maintaining high standards in materials management, contributing to the overall healthcare experience.
We are looking for a motivated and reliable team player with experience in large supplies operations, ideally within a hospital environment.
You’ll have:
- A sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety, manual handling, and infection control practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions.
- Physical capability to perform tasks involving manual handling and walking throughout a large hospital site daily.
- Intermediate computer skills, including familiarity with Oracle and Finance One systems.
