Hunter New England Menopause Hub invites applications from suitably qualified specialists in Gynaecology and General Practice to provide specialised menopause care as part of the Menopause Hub multidisciplinary team. Applicants with memberships of RANZCOG or RACGP are invited to apply with the intention to recruit multiple fractional appointments in line with the Menopause Hub needs. 0.5 to 0.6 FTE will be allocated to Gynaecology and 0.2 to 0.3 FTE to General Practice. 

About the service:
NSW Health is establishing a network of Menopause Services across the state. These new and enhanced services will be an escalation pathway to specialist care for people experiencing severe or complex symptoms of menopause. The network will consist of four Menopause Hubs and a number of referral sites across the state. The Menopause Hub sites will be medically-led, multi-disciplinary services. They will provide a holistic approach to help women with severe menopausal symptoms, and the associated health risks of menopause.

Applicants will:

  • Be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Gynaecology or General Practice (with extensive Sexual and Reproductive Health or Women’s Health experience/qualifications)
  • Provide high quality, evidence based, patient focussed management and care to non-admitted patients, families, and carers through the participation and/or attendance at clinical handover, MDT case conferences, face to face and telehealth clinics for patients within HNELHD, NNSWLHD and MNCLHD
