  2. A bachelor or post graduate degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics.
  3. Demonstrated extensive post-graduate experience working as a Social Worker in a health setting, including a demonstrated understanding of complex health conditions and the impact on patient well-being.
  4. Demonstrated advanced communication skills (both written and oral) and demonstrated competence in the use of electronic information systems.
  5. Excellent negotiation, complex decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  6. Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and manage stressful situations; ability to work unsupervised and apply advanced reasoning skills and professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel or critical nature across a team.
  7. Experience in the provision of supervision to social workers and/or social work students.
  8. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and implement quality improvement and research activities.
