Looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our wonderful Social Work team at Mona Vale Hospital in a casual position.

Where you'll be working
The Social Work Team cover inpatient Rehabilitation, Palliative Care, Geriatric Evaluation and Management units and community located at the Mona Vale Hospital campus and Brookvale Community Health Centre. 

What you'll be doing

The Social Worker will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team across inpatient and community to provide holistic patient centred care.

The Social Worker will provide psychosocial services to patients, clients, families and carers to promote the social, psychological, emotional and environmental well-being of patients and support optimal utilisation of available resources.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics.
  2. Proven ability to work independently and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and interagency networks.
  3. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
