About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Allied health to develop and lead a new service for women with complex menopause symptoms in Sydney Local Health District working closely with the medical leads of the new service and allied health clinicians. This is an excellent opportunity to strengthen service development skills and clinical skills in a complex area.

The Sydney Local Health District Menopause Services Coordinator will work with the multidisciplinary team project within Sydney Local Health District to plan, develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate new menopause services for women experiencing severe symptoms of menopause. The position will provide a support and advisory role for Sydney Local Health District to external partners to work closely on the planning and establishment of menopause services providing strategic advice on local services in Sydney Local Health District.  

  

We are looking for someone who has...

  • A Bachelor or post graduate degree in an allied health profession and current registration to practice and/or eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association.
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 Licence acceptable).
  • Advanced relevant clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of allied health services in a wide range of clinical areas including women’s health.
  • Experience and the ability to identify opportunities and innovatively lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of service delivery incorporating continuous improvement, evidence based practice and research.

About working for SLHD

This is a Category A position. To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy (PD2023_022).

  

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).

  

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
