Sexual Assault Worker Level 1-2: $73,427.00 - $104,753.00 per annum
Sexual Assault Worker Level 3: $112,396.00 - $116,038.00 per annum
Sexual Assault Worker Level 4: $121,658.00 - $124,607.00 per annum

The Sexual Assault Service has an opportunity for a Female Sexual Assault worker who will provide therapeutic responses to children, adults, families and groups (all ages and genders). This includes leading therapeutic practices in both individual and group settings. You will be provided with professional development opportunities, cultural supervision, opportunities to participate in cultural strengths mapping and you will be part of a larger, supportive Aboriginal workforce.
This position will have a professional development plan in place that will provide the opportunity for work based development which allows for progression through the Award levels in accordance with the incumbent's skill acquisition.

Where You'll Be Working
SWSLHD Primary & Community Health provides a comprehensive range of community-based services designed to improve and maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across South Western Sydney.
These services include prevention, early intervention, assessment, acute and post-acute treatment, health maintenance, and continuing care. The team supports diverse populations, offering specialised programs for children, young people, older adults, and at-risk communities.
With over 800 dedicated staff, including Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, the service ensures high-quality care close to where people live.

- This is a Female Identified Aboriginal/Torress Strait Islander Position. Describe your connections to community & culture.
- Bachelor of Social Work which provides eligibility for membership to Australian Association of Social Workers OR Degree in Psychology with full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia OR Bachelor degree in Counselling or Welfare from a recognised and accepted education provider, as deemed appropriate by the employer. Completed ECAV qualification pathway - Graduate Certificate in Human and Community Services (Interpersonal Trauma). Accreditation or willingness to undertake accreditation with the Child Sex Offender Counsellor Accreditation Scheme administered by the NSW Children's Guardian and maintain this.
- How does your experience in building Aboriginal community connections, engaging with families, and understanding intergenerational trauma equip you to support people who have been sexually harmed and their families through culturally responsive interventions?
- How have your communication skills, and commitment to clinical and cultural supervision helped you collaborate within a therapeutic team to provide effective counselling which aligns with existing therapeutic and governance policy frameworks?
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted. Willingness to travel in the course of employment.
