Where you'll be working

The NSW Organ and Tissue Donation Service (NSW OTDS) is the state-wide NSW Health Agency responsible to save and improve the lives of more Australians through optimising every potential organ and tissue donation for transplantation. 
As part of the BIENCO team you will work with BIENCO partners to solve corneal blindness globally by developing the world's first complete bioengineered cornea.

The NSW OTDS is hosted by the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD).

What you'll be doing

This position provides expert advice and services on all facets of BIENCO governance and project management to BIENCO partners and focuses on the provision of a range of clinical project management support services to the BIENCO Executive to achieve the business and service objectives.
 
This position is responsible for maintaining procedures, effective relationships, and communication to ensure that milestones and priorities are met and in conjunction with the Manufacturing Coordination and Research Integration Lead, for providing coordination and support to the BIENCO governance functions, as well as linking strategy with research operations, communications, and support to the BIENCO Executive.
 
Provide strong management of multiple sites and/or services whilst overseeing the operation of the BIENCO, bioengineered cornea research consortium to ensure delivery of agreed milestones.  

Selection Criteria :

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in project / program management or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience
  2. Demonstrated strong leadership skills to enhance staff performance, influence workplace culture, and lead change.
  3. Extensive knowledge of contemporary issues in project management, biotechnology, health or related fields
  4. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills with a strong customer service approach
  5. Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation
  6. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders.
  7. Demonstrated experience in planning and evaluation at strategic and service levels within a high volume dynamic work environment.
  8. Current drivers licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australian has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing. All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
