You will report to the manager of Workforce Modelling and will be critical to the ongoing work in monitoring insights into clinical workforce supply and demand challenges for NSW Health.

Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $125,693 - $138,510 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing

  • Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support key business decisions.

  • Create clear, engaging dashboards and visualisations to present findings to stakeholders in an understandable and impactful way.

  • Build and deploy predictive and descriptive workforce modelling models using various techniques to solve specific challenges.

  • Use creativity and technical expertise to tackle ambiguous problems and bring clarity with data insights.


About you


We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

  • Able to break down complex problems into manageable components and derive meaningful insights

  • Continuously seeking to uncover patterns, ask the right questions, and understand the "why" behind the data.

  • Skilled in programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL), statistical methods, and machine learning techniques.

  • Capable of explaining technical findings to non-technical stakeholders through storytelling, visualizations, and clear communication (e.g. PowerBI).

  • The ability to work in a small dynamic team environment.
