As a Senior Sonographer with Nepean Hospital, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality ultrasound examinations across a variety of specialties, including obstetric, abdominal, musculoskeletal, vascular, and small parts imaging.
This role will see you support the training and supervision of junior staff, lead service improvements and ensure best practices in clinical governance. You will be required to perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with ASUM guidelines which requires appropriate interaction with patients, relatives and other members of staff.

What you will bring to the role
- Undergraduate degree (Medical Radiation Science for appointment as a Medical Radiation Scientist) and Post Graduate Qualification in Medical Ultrasound as recognised by ASAR
- Registration with ASAR
- Demonstrated high standard of knowledge, clinical experience in obstetric ultrasound across a range of examinations.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, instruct and trainee sonographers and medical staff.
- Demonstrated well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Evidence of participation in a continuing Professional Development (CPD) program.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
