Remuneration: $54.76 - $56.54 per hour
Hours Per Week: 16

Where you'll be working
The WSLHD Dementia Advisory Service, operating five days a week from Westmead Hospital. You'll job share with a colleague, working two days a week.

What you'll be doing
The Dementia Advisory Service (DAS), WSLHD, is funded by Commonwealth Health Support program (CHSP). The primary objective of this community-based service, is to help people with Dementia and their carers through:
- Early intervention case work
- Education and Support Groups for patients and carers
- Appropriate referrals to services and supports.
- Work autonomously with advanced clinical expertise in dementia care.
- Deliver high-quality services to clients, families, and carers in the community.
- Partner with service providers and lead community development initiatives.

Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor of Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW), and a current Driver’s licence
- Demonstrated clinical experience in Dementia care.
- Experience in community development and working in partnership with services providers.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of staff and / or student supervision.
- Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures for service improvement and skills in providing training and education.
- Well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance and / or clinical practice improvement activities
