Are you an experienced and motivated senior mental health clinician who has a strong interest in community mental health and looking for a challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic service providing coordination of care to consumers with complex mental illnesses and rehab needs. As a senior clinician, you will be working closely with the clinical manager in providing leadership and mentorship within the team.

If you are an overseas qualified Social Worker, you are required to have your qualifications assessed by the AASW to meet the position criteria.
Where you'll be working
You will be working in the St George Adult Mental Health Service, Kirk Place Kogarah , in one of the care coordination teams.

Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligible for membership with AASW. Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy or Psychology (with a minimum four-year degree with a major in Psychology and registration with the Psychologists Board of Australia) and registered with AHPRA . For Clinical Nurse Specialist Gde 2: registered with AHPRA with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification.
- Extensive experience in mental health clinical and vocational rehabilitation with knowledge of best practice principles and models of practice; and ability to plan, implement and evaluate individual and group rehabilitation programs.
- Demonstrated commitment to consumer participation, and a strengths based and recovery focused approach in service provision.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
- Ability to provide in-depth advice, education and supervision to staff to enhance service excellence.
- Ability to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel or complex nature.
- Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement and service evaluation processes.
- Current class C NSW Drivers Licence.
